'Public Transportation - a milestone for the history of humanity.'

Public Transport

City-dwellers are increasingly faced with the prospect of the collapse of private transport systems. It now seems that the only effective countermeasure will be to create more comfortable, reliable and safer public transport in the form of buses, trains and airplanes, and at a cheaper price. Systems for communicating between control centers, trains and passenger areas as well as on the whole airport areas have an even more important part to play. They are the backbone of modern public transport. Increasingly fierce competition and cost pressures in public transport are aimed at improving customer satisfaction. Companies are implementing extra passenger information systems, electronic payment options and account cards in an effort to tie their customers for public transport. Modern, digital communication systems that fulfill the requirements listed below are needed to implement these measures cost-effectively:

  • clear voice communication, free of interference
  • highly efficient and cost-effective operation
  • flexible and appropriate use of resources
  • remote control of mobile and stationary equipment
  • early and preventative detection of technical failures
  • transfer of images of passenger areas and traffic situations
  • data service, e.g. mobile payment
  • maximum spectrum efficiency.

Only a digital communication system designed in accordance with the latest international standards and built as radio systems for high security applications will be able to meet such requirements, both now and in the future.
